A day out of time, in an atmosphere of peace and serenity far away. Arriving in Stresa a lovely breakfast at Gigi bar, on front of the pier. Start the tour: the first island, Isola Bella. It’s the most famous of the Borromean islands, mostly occupied by the baroque palace of the Borromeo and the beautiful garden that surrounds it. The palace contains priceless works of art, tapestries, furniture, paintings. The terraced gardens, rich in every variety of plants and flowers, are a classic example of "Italian garden" era.
Continue to the Isola dei Pescatori: it is one of the most charming, romantic and picturesque lake, with its narrow streets and its simple and modest houses. You can have dinner and spend the night here, perhaps Verbano hotel where each room is named after a flower.
The day after the tour ends with the Isola Madre is the largest of the Borromeo Islands.
Visit the botanical garden, a garden of rare plants and exotic flowers in which they live white peacocks, parrots and pheasants of any kind that gives the place a tropical atmosphere. It is also possible to visit the Palace of the XVI century, interesting for the reconstruction of ancient environments and for the collection of dolls and porcelain.
