Walking through the secondary streets, towards the Arno, you’ll reach Piazza Cairoli and the National Museum. Then cross the Ponte Solferino, following the left bank to visit St. Maria della Spina, S. Paolo a Ripa d'Arno and when returning back the S. Sepolcro and S. Martino.
Along the downtown streets you can find antiques and art furniture and general furniture and furnishings , however, don’t ignore the nearby Cascina.
What to eat: In addition to all the typical Tuscan specialties of the city are: bean soup, frogs, rice and clams, eels " in ginocchioni " and small eels "cieche", the black pork pudding , chickpea pies, schiacciate and cicalini and the so-called cake "bischeri."
